PhotoRobot Academy

Train your team. Certify their work. Run studios like production lines.

PhotoRobot Academy is the official training and certification system for the PhotoRobot ecosystem — operators, studio managers, integrators, network and hardware specialists, certified instructors, plus five specialty domains (OCR, 3D modeling, PINK clinical, virtual catwalk, carpet photography). 11 cert tracks. 62 modules. One credential per role.

Why train your team on PhotoRobot

PhotoRobot equipment is sophisticated. A trained team produces 5x the throughput at 2x the quality. The Academy compresses years of operating experience into role-based curricula — so your team reaches production fluency in weeks, not seasons.

Production cadence, not improvisation

For standard catalog work, certified operators run at roughly 1 product per minute — capture itself under 20 seconds, automatic post-production handling the rest. Complex setups (heavy items, custom arrangements, multi-angle styling) scale the cadence accordingly. The cert validates that your team has internalized the discipline — not just memorized the buttons.

Same standard, every studio, every shift

Certified teams produce visually-consistent imagery across operators, shifts, and locations. Standardized capture mechanics, locked color discipline, repeatable edit recipes. Your e-commerce visual catalog stops looking like 5 different photographers shot it.

Credentials that survive audits

Each cert exam produces a PhotoRobot certificate documenting your team's competence on the platform. 2-year validity, refresh exam before expiry. Customers use the credential in supplier qualification programs, vendor evaluations, service-level agreements — formal evidence of platform fluency, not self-attestation.

Day-one productivity, not trial-and-error

A new operator completes Operator Standard in a 2-day intensive (or equivalent self-paced study) and is production-ready immediately afterwards. Without structured training, ramp-up is 6-12 months of trial-and-error with avoidable mistakes along the way. The cost of one mis-shot product launch typically exceeds the entire team's certification investment.

Eleven cert tracks across two layers

Six foundational tracks cover the core PhotoRobot roles in any studio. Five specialty tracks add domain-specific depth on top of a foundational cert — for studios serving particular industries or product categories.

Recommended

On-site at your studio

A PhotoRobot Certified Instructor travels to your studio for a 2-day intensive on your actual equipment. No team travel, no time away from production, no friction. Training runs on the specific hardware variant, lighting setup, network configuration, and workflow your team uses in production — so every preset, every recipe, every habit learned during the course is immediately usable in live shifts the next morning. Presets stay configured. Recipes stay in the shelf library. The instructor leaves; production fluency stays.

Best for: Most customer engagements. Especially when team can't travel, when equipment-specific quirks need addressing live, or when training pairs with an installation week.

2-day intensive at PhotoRobot studio

Group training at PhotoRobot's training studio in Klecany, Czech Republic. Hands-on with real equipment, instructor-led, fixed 2-day agenda per role. Includes module knowledge checks, hands-on practice, and final certification exam at session end.

Best for: New customer onboarding, teams of 2-15 who can travel together, customers without installed equipment yet.

Self-paced online

The full curriculum on academy.photorobot.io. Textbook + workbook + module knowledge checks + final certification exam. Typically completed in 2-3 weeks at 4-5 hours per week.

Best for: Solo operators, single new hires, distributed teams, or as preparation before an in-person intensive.

Extended formats (5-day deep-dives, multi-week mentoring, embedded instructor weeks) are available on request as separate engagements. See the academy.photorobot.io site for delivery format detail per cert track, or contact PhotoRobot sales for custom engagement scoping.

Why certification matters for your business

Pass supplier audits without scrambling

Major customers (automotive manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, retail chains) audit their suppliers' technical capabilities. PhotoRobot certification is the formal evidence that your team is competent on the platform you use to deliver imagery — not a self-attestation. Each certificate documents which student passed which cert exam, when, with what validity period — auditable, dated, traceable to a specific track.

Commit to quality SLAs you can defend

Service-level agreements (turnaround time, image quality consistency, defect rates) depend on team competence. A certified team's performance is measurable and repeatable; you can commit to numbers and meet them. An ad-hoc-trained team's output varies, exposing your business to SLA penalties or customer churn when standards slip.

Standardize the platform's most common failure modes

PhotoRobot's most common operational failures — incorrect color discipline, wrong capture mode for sample weight, lighting setups that flatten texture-revealing materials, version-control mistakes during reshoot cycles — are taught explicitly in the relevant cert tracks. Certified teams encounter these failures less often and recover from them faster when they do occur.

Career path that retains your best operators

Certifications stack — Operator Standard, then a specialty track, then Instructor Certification. Your best operators see a defined career path inside the PhotoRobot ecosystem. Retention of senior operators is typically a larger ROI signal than the initial certification investment.

How your team's cert lifecycle works

Enroll

PhotoRobot sales issues a voucher code per student per cert track. The voucher unlocks the full curriculum on academy.photorobot.io plus the final certification exam. Bulk enrollment (5-15 operators in one cohort) is the typical pattern.

Train

Students complete the curriculum at their chosen pace and format. Module-level knowledge checks throughout the course validate progress. Most teams combine self-paced online study with a 2-day in-person intensive.

Pass

Cert exam (typically 30-50 questions, 60-90 minutes, 70-75% pass threshold). Passing produces a PhotoRobot certificate documenting platform fluency. 2-year validity. Shareable on LinkedIn, defensible in audits, usable in supplier qualification programs.

Maintain

Each cert has 2-year validity. Before expiry, students take a refresh exam (lighter format, higher pass bar — confirms current discipline + currency). Passing extends validity by another 2 years.
